Behind-the-meter Power
NexGen Power Systems designs and builds Behind-the-meter containerized LNG-to-power generation platforms that are fully modular and fit into a 45 ft container. Our patented architecture recovers the cold energy that conventional power systems waste to cooling towers and exhaust — turning a thermodynamic liability into roughly 50% of additional output for the same amount of fuel.
We operate as an engineering, integration, and intellectual property company. Core components are sourced from strategic partners — Honeywell aero-derivative gas turbines via Signal Power Group, custom Permanent-Magnet Generators via Hitachi Industrial Products and Elektromaschinen und Antriebe (E&A)— and systems integrated and tested at our Center for Cryogenics Applications Research in Kingman, Arizona.

Our Mission
Deliver the world’s most efficient portable power by recovering the cold energy that LNG wastes when it vaporizes — turning a thermodynamic liability into a competitive moat.
Vision
NexGen will be the standard for high-efficiency modular portable LNG power — delivering 5+ MW from a single gas turbine fuel stream at efficiencies that match utility-scale combined-cycle plants, in a package small enough to ship anywhere.
Core Beliefs
- Efficiency is the fastest path to decarbonization. Achieving 52% versus 30% from the same fuel halves emissions per kWh before any carbon capture.
- LNG has the best and least carbon Btu/lb and its heat content represents its highest value in use. LNG cold energy is the most under-exploited energy source in the natural gas value chain. Also, it is the cleanest form of fossil fuel available today.
- Portability unlocks markets. Fixed combined-cycle plants cannot serve oilfields, disaster zones, remote mines, or railroad corridors.
- Domain expertise compounds. The team that built 450+ cryogenic pumps across 60 countries is uniquely qualified to build this.

Dennis has spent his career at the intersection of cryogenic engineering and LNG infrastructure. As VP of Engineering at JC Carter Pumps from 2002 through 2012, he invented and brought to market the third generation of LNG submerged motor pumps that became industry standards. He continued the work as New Product Director at ACD Pumps (Nikkiso ACD) and holds two World Patents covering TC 34.2 LNG cryopumps and electric feed-throughs.
Dennis is named as lead inventor on every USPTO LNG cryogenic submerged motor pump and turbo-generator patent applied for or granted since 2004. He co-founded the original NexGen Cryogenic Solutions, which developed the CryoDrive Gen 4 LNG submerged motor pump in association with Flowserve Corporation and was acquired by Flowserve in July 2024.

Managing Partner
RC brings approximately 18 years of cryogenic systems experience across Atlas Copco, Ebara Elliott Energy, Nikkiso, and Flowserve. As CTO he leads the thermodynamic design and optimization of the GT plus Cryo-ORC system — including working fluid selection across a six-configuration evaluation matrix, recuperator optimization that delivered a 55% LNG cold reduction with a 16% power increase, and full state-point engineering of the 3.3 MW reference system.

The team’s heritage in LNG cryogenics traces back more than two decades, with deep operational and patent history in submerged motor pumps and turbo-expanders. The transition to power generation is a natural application of that expertise — the cold-energy recovery problem has been visible to specialists for years, but only the team that already understands cryogenic equipment design at depth could commercialize it.

Center for Cryogenics Applications Research
Our 20-acre campus south of Kingman, Arizona houses the integration, test, and validation infrastructure for the entire CryoDrive product family. The site is adjacent to the Flowserve DW Chalmers Center for Cryogenics Engineering Excellence, sits on industrial-zoned land with no residential buffer, and is accessible via I-40 and US-93 — two hours from Las Vegas by road.







Phase 1 — Power Generation Lab
